PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method of managing and distributing power from a power supply to which power is supplied.

SOLUTION: A plurality of outlets (68 and 70) are connected to a plurality of power supply devices (114). When an additional outlet is used, the amount of power extracted by the outlet is measured. When the measured amount of power is smaller than the maximum amount of power available, the outlets (68 and 70) are enabled. When the measured amount of power is larger than the maximum amount of the power available, the additional outlet which is not used at the present is disabled.
