PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resistor of a four terminal structure where a characteristic of a desired resistor can be obtained even if mutual diffusion of a resistor material and an electrode material exists. SOLUTION: A resistor A of the four terminal structure is provided with an insulting substrate 10, upper face electrodes 12a, 12b, 12c and 12d and a resistor 14. The resistor 14 is formed in such a way that notch parts 14K are formed from both sides in rectangular shapes, and it is constituted of a body part 15 and projecting parts 16a, 16b, 16c and 16d. The respective projecting parts are connected to the top face electrodes. A distance between the top face electrode 12a and the like and the body part 15 is set so that influence of mutual diffusion of the resistor material and the electrode material does not affect the body part 15.
