PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a limiting device of a respirator for a patient, generating back pressure on the upstream side of the device when the device is connected to a gas passage of the respirator, and reducing the back pressure in the device to operate a fluid pressure warning device when the device is removed from the gas passage. SOLUTION: This limiting device 30 of the respirator for a patient is connected to the downstream end of an air supply pipe and fitted into a tube connector in a trachea. In order to maintain the internal pressure of the air supply pipe, the limiting device 30 has a through hole 30A whose opening sectional area is limited. The operation of the warning device due to decrease in back pressure means separation of the air supply pipe. The downstream end of the limiting device 30 is provided with the through hole 30A and an opening part 30B in the upstream thereof so that the the warning device is surely operated when the limiting device 30 is detached from the connector. The opening part 30B is blocked up by the inner wall of the connector when it is connected to the connector, and opened when it is detached from the connector to reduce the back pressure in the interior of the air supply pipe.
