PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine facilitating an origin search of a pulse motor for adjusting the feed amount of the sewing machine. SOLUTION: A control device 50 is connected with a sewing motor 12 via an input interface not shown in the figure; an encoder 62, or a rotating speed detecting means detecting the rotating speed; a stepping motor 43 setting the feed amount of a feed mechanism 30; an operation pedal 16 adjusting the rotating speed of the sewing motor 12; an operation panel 54 inputting respective types of setting and displaying respective types of information, and a proximity sensor 47b detecting the origin of the stepping motor 43. The control device 50 is provided with an updating command means commanding the updating of the original position of the stepping motor 43. The control device 50 is provided with a temporary original position detecting function and an original position correcting function. The operation panel 54 is provided with a + button and a - button functioning as input means of the correction amount when executing the original position correcting function by the control device 50.
