<p>The roll embossing structure comprises individual recesses in the outer surface of the roll or sleeve. Each recess has a base area with diameter(d) of 1-50 microns. The base area of a recess may be round, rectangular, square or hexagonal and produces lenses, naps and/or pyramids in the embossing material. Recess contors are computer generated and formed by a laser beam. Independent claims are included for: (1) equipment for producing an embossed structure in thermoplastic material for a transparent decorative film comprises two embossing units, each with an embossing roll and opposing roll forming a gap, for forming first(4) and second(5) thermoplastic films, a laminating unit for applying both embossed films onto non-embossed surfaces and a printing unit for applying printed dots onto a surface of the laminated film; (2) equipment for embossing both sides of a plastic film comprising two embossing rolls and a machine with printing roll and opposing roll for printing a raster pattern onto an upper side of the double sided embossed decorative film; (3) equipment for manufacturing an embossed thermoplastic for wallpaper or border strip with a colored 3-D(three-dimensional) effect comprising a raster cylinder and opposing cylinder for applying printed dots, a thermoplastic plastic application unit comprising a cylindrical stencil and opposing roll and an embossing unit for the thermoplastic plastic material comprising an embossing roll and opposing roll; (4) an embossed wallpaper or border strip with a colored 3-D effect whose embossed structure is created by applying a plastic paste onto the paper with a stencil and embossing the paste with the claimed embossing cylinder; (5) a transparent decorative thermoplastic plastic film(1) creating a 3-D effect with an embossed structure of lenses having round or angular shape with domes(2,2') and a 1-50 micron diameter(d) onto which printed dots(3) are applied; (6) a transparent decorative thermoplastic plastic film with embossed structure for creating a 3-D effect comprising a film with an embossed structure on the upper side, printed dots on the underside and a second film with an embossed structure laminated onto the first film.</p> |
