Bearing assembly for, axially and radially, supporting a shaft, by three bearings, a first bearing being typically a radial roller bearing, the two other bearings being both angular contact bearings, whereby the shaft has a pinion gear which introduces three forces, a force 1 directed along the rotation axis of the shaft, a force 2 normal to the rotation axis of the shaft and a force 3 tangent to the circumference of the gear, characterised in that the bearing housings are adapted in order to obtain the desired stiffness for each of the two angular contact bearings, whereby a load sharing between said two bearings is induced. |
