A tubing connection arrangement comprises engagable male and female threaded tubulars. The threads of the tubulars have lead flanks (stab flanks) 62, 64 which engage as the tubulars are connected. The lead flanks 62, 64 of the male and female tubulars are disposed at different acute angles to each other which may be 43 degrees and 45 degrees, or a difference of between 1 and 5 degrees. The back thread flanks (load flanks) 72, 74 are disposed at an acute angle compared to the thread axis; the acute angle can be 83 degrees. |
