A cover 2 comprises a body 4 with an open end 12 provided with adhering means 8 for adhering that end around the mouth of a drinking vessel adjacent to its rim. The mouth is thus covered to prevent tampering with the drink until access is made possible by perforating the body using perforation means 14. The means 14 may comprise a circumferential tear-off strip as shown, or a perforated line (28, Figure 4) running longitudinally from the open end 12. The adhering means 8 may comprise a circumferential self-adhesive strip as shown, a circumferential series of self-adhesive pads or a strap (23, Figure 3) attached at one end to the body and having a self-adhesive portion at its free end. The cover may comprise a handle 16, a self adhesive label 18 which may identify the user and a straw (34, Figure 5) having a U-bend and extending through the cover. The body 4 may be made of heat-reflecting material to maintain the temperature of the drink. |
