Fireplaces including antireflective screens are provided. The antireflective screens can include a glass sheet with an antireflective agen t attached to or forming a surface of at least a portion of the glass sheet. A low-emissivity agent can also be attached to or form a surface of at least a portion of the glass. In addition, light diffusing screens for displaying simulated flames in simulated fireplaces are provided. The light diffusing screens can include an antireflective agent attached to or forming a surface of at least a portion of the light diffusing screens.
