Adsorption system (A), for removing virus and its components from physiological liquids, comprises an adsorbing material comprising a particle (I), with a diameter of 20-5000 mu m, which is a polymer matrix with passage pores. Independent claims are also included for: (1) an adsorbent material comprising a particle (I), with a diameter of 20-500 mu m, which is a polymer matrix with a passage pores, for use in (A); and (2) removing virus and its components from blood/plasma comprising contacting (A) with blood or blood plasma.
