<p>A procedure for welding mitre-cut plastic frame profiles that have inserted seals. A procedure and an apparatus for performing the procedure are to be such tha t the elastic function of the seals that are to be welded with the frame profiles in the area of the mitred joint is retained. For the period when the frame profiles (1) and the seals (2) are being welde d, the inside section of the seal, which is formed by the the seal lip and the atta chment foot of the seal (2) in and adjacent to the plane of the mitred joint shall be cover ed by at least one mould part so as to conform exactly or nearly so to its shape and after the welding process the moulded part is moved out of the area of the seal (2). Covering the inside section of the seal in the area of the mitred joint with a mould part when t he frame profiles and the seals are being welded prevents a weld bead from forming in the inside area of the seal, which could impair the elasticity of the seal in this area . The procedure and the apparatus for performing the procedure are used when manufacturing frames from plastic profiles to be used in windows and doors.< /SDOAB></p> |
