<p>A fuel storage and distribution system for heavy and medium duty trucks whic h include dual fuel tanks (24, 26). An electric transfer pump (22) transfers fluid from the tank with the greatest volume to the tank with the lowest volume. Fuel level sensors (18, 20) measure the fluid levels in the fuel tan ks (24, 26) and provide inputs to the electric transfer pump (22). Fuel may be transferred in either direction between the two fuel tanks.</p> |
