Protective clothing made from a metal ring mesh comprises a strip-like fixing device (10) for fixing the clothing to the body of the user, stiffening device for stiffening the mesh, and a reinforcing device for reinforcing the end and edge regions of the clothing. The fixing device, stiffening device or reinforcing device is formed by a wave-like strap (30) interlinked with or connected to the metal ring mesh. Preferred Features: The fixing device, stiffening device or reinforcing device is partially placed in a channel made from the metal ring mesh. The wave-like strip is made from metal. The waves of the strap extend across the longitudinal direction of the strap. |
