The system has an aileron (10) arranged above a mechanical base of a vehicle. Guiding and control units (20, 50) respectively guide and control displacement of the aileron between two end positions through an intermediate position. An aileron inclination angle progressively increases during the aileron displacement between the end positions. The units are situated in a housing of a spare wheel (7), between a tire (7a) and a rim (7b). The aileron is retracted in the base of the vehicle, in one end position, and projected below the base in the other end position. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a motor vehicle equipped with an aerodynamic system.
