Cab interior lighting device for high end motor vehicle, has manual control with push type switches to control courtesy lights, background light, readout lighting of driver and front and rear passengers, and high and low power light sources

The device has a manual control with a push type switch and a control button to control courtesy lights and background light respectively. Two other push type switches control readout lighting of a driver and a front passenger. A fourth push type switch inhibits push type switches (18, 18`) controlling readout lighting of rear passengers. High and low power light sources (13, 13`, 14, 14`, 15) are provided for driver and passengers. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling interior lighting of a cab interior of a motor vehicle.
