Acyl piperazine derivatives of the formula (Ia) wherein R4 is -O-, -N(R7)-, -C(R8)2- or a bond; R5 is an (C1-C8)alkylene chain or an (C1-C8)alkylidene chain, or, if R4 is a bond, R5 is an (C1-C8)alkylidene chain optionally substituted by phenyl or naphthyl group or -N(R7)2; R6 is -C(O)-, -C(S)-, -CH2- or a bond; pharmaceutical compositions containing thereof, and their use to treat inflammatory disorders in humans.
