PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for processing a textile product, with which fluffs or fibrils occurring on the surface of a textile product are effectively removed and a textile product is decolored. SOLUTION: A mixture of a permanganate and a granular inorganic salt is brought into contact with a textile product to remove fluffs or caused fibrils on the surface of a textile product. A mixture of a permanganate and a granular inorganic salt is brought into contact with a textile product dyed by using a dye exhibiting different bleachability to a permanganate to remove fluffs or caused fibrils and to decolor the textile product.
