PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soap mold capable of efficiently cooling and solidifying unsolidified soap without excessively cooling the soap and giving a cake of soap having high form accuracy. SOLUTION: The mold 1 for forming a soap cake is composed of a set of split molds 1A and 1B integrated with each other to form an inner cavity C, and unsolidified soap is filled in the cavity C. The cavity C has a surface efficiency of≤1.15 defined by dividing the surface area of the forming face 11A and 11B of the cavity by the surface area of a sphere having a volume equivalent to the volume of the cavity 1C. The surface area of the forming face of the cavity 1C is preferably 6,562-22,067 mm<SP>2</SP>and the volume of the cavity 1C is preferably 50-288 cm<SP>3</SP>. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
