PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for correcting a thread ridge, which tool can quickly, simply, and easily correct the thread ridge of a bolt and can reduce a cost. SOLUTION: The tool 1 for correcting a thread ridge is composed of dies 2 composed of two halved die segments 2', 2', and a clip 3 having a holding portion 4A, which is arranged on the tip end side and can dismountably hold and fix the dies 2 and can open and close, and a gripping portion 4B which is arranged on the base end side to open and close the holding portion 4A. The clip 3 is composed of a pair of operating levers 4, 4 which are swivelably connected at their intermediate portions and have holding pieces 4a for dismountably holding the die segments 2', 2' and for forming the holding portion 4A on the tip end side, and have gripping pieces 4b forming the gripping portion 4B arranged on the base end side, fixing screws 5 for fixing the die segments 2', 2' held by means of the holding pieces 4a, 4a of both operating levers 4, 4, and an elastic member 6 which is arranged between both operating levers 4, 4 and holds both die segments 2', 2' held and fixed by means of the holding pieces 4a, 4a by energizing the holding pieces 4a, 4a opposed to each other in the closing direction so as to have an annular shape.
