The invention concerns a method for allocating resources to a set of mobile telecommunication terminals of a cellular network so as to maximize an overall utility function corresponding to the sum of the utility functions particular to each terminal while satisfying constraints related to network resources provided to the terminals, said method consisting in: assigning minimum and maximum resource values for each terminal; computing for each terminal a function representing resources consumed by the terminal; and assigning an optimal value of consumed resources for each terminal based on the values of said computed function.
