<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily collect diagnostic results by collecting log information and transmitting a diagnostic command concerning a diagnostic system for diagnosing a component unit constituting a computer system and its method. <P>SOLUTION: The diagnostic system comprises IC tags 11 stuck onto each component unit 2 constituting the computer system 1; diagnostic functions 3 for diagnosing one component unit or the plurality of component units, which are arranged by each component unit or by component units; and IC tag readers/writers 9 which are arranged by each component unit or by component units, so as to read the diagnostic command from the IC tag 11 stuck onto each component unit, to allow the diagnostic function 3 to perform diagnosis, to write the diagnostic result in the IC tag 11, and to write the log information collected by the diagnostic function 3 into the IC tag 11 as necessary. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
