<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter having a coil body which enables a procedure to expand a narrowing part in a blood vessel with excellent operationality more easily and the advantageous manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: A main body of the catheter comprises the coil body 10 having a shape formed by winding or twisting a metal wire 12 , a distal end part 16, and a proximal end part. A pitch at the distal end part 16 has substantially the same size as the pitch at the proximal end part in the coil body 10.
