<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting control device capable of easily detecting the disconnection of a bulb. <P>SOLUTION: This lighting control device includes: a switching element T1 mounted between an output terminal 12 and a power terminal 10; and a load control means 20 for controlling conduction of the switching element T1 in response to an AC power source; and is so structured that a light modulation level is controlled by variably controlling the supply period of the AC power to an load element 14 by variably controlling conduction timing of the switching element T1. The lighting control device includes a voltage monitoring means 16 for monitoring a voltage across the switching element T1; and the load control means 20 has a disconnection detection period without forcibly executing the conduction of the switching element T1 regardless of the light modulation level. Then, a voltage is not applied to the switching element when the load element is disconnected and a voltage is applied to the switching element unless the load element is disconnected, whereby the disconnection of the load element can surely be detected even in any light modulation control. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
