<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver where the layout of multi-window display of digital television is automated and abundant information for a viewing/listening program can be presented, based on the features of multi-window and the viewing/listening records. <P>SOLUTION: The size and positional information of a main screen window are selected by the viewing/listening records of a televiewer in the past and the input data of the televiewer oneself and stored in a storage. Based on program information included in SI (service information) related to the moving video of a program stream displayed on the main screen window, program information of programs in the past stored in the storage is searched. When the program stream is held, the moving video of a program stream in the past stored as one of sub-screen windows is displayed.
