PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating material composition that enhances the combustibility and improves the combustion efficiency of an internal combustion engine, and to provide a method for improving the combustion efficiency using the composition. SOLUTION: The coating material composition for improving the combustion efficiency is produced by incorporating a mixed powder of 2-10 wt% tourmaline, 2-10 wt% garnet and 2-10 wt% mica as natural silicate minerals with 94-70 wt% oxide comprising lanthanum, silicon and the like and having been produced by calcining the ore into a heat-resistant synthetic resin compound and generates an active hydrogen and an active oxygen when formed into a coating layer.
