PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for modifying a polyamide resin capable of simply modifying physical properties of the polyamide. SOLUTION: This method for modifying the polyamide resin comprises adding 0.01-10 pts.wt. of a polycarbonate(B) and 0.001-2 pts.wt. of an aliphatic carboxylic acid(C) or alkali- or alkaline earth-metal salt thereof to 100 pts.wt. of a polyamide resin in which amino groups occupy 50% or more in the total terminal groups, and condensing the composition. In this modifying method, two or more polyamide resins of same or different kind may be used in combination as the polyamide resin(A). The condensation is preferably conducted by melt mixing the polyamide resin(A), the polycarbonate(B) and the aliphatic carboxylic acid(C) or alkali- or alkaline earth-metal salt thereof.
