PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an integrated circuit device having an amplifier controlled by data and a method of operating this integrated circuit device. SOLUTION: It has an amplifier circuit having a pair of a 1st differential transistor to selectively operate in response at least to a bit of a multi-bit data signal and a 2nd differential transistor. The above pair of the 1st differential transistor and the 2nd differential transistor forms an integrated circuit device connected respectively with a 1st switch and a 2nd switch operating in response at least to a bit of the above multi-bit data signal.
