The invention concerns a motor vehicle optical unit, characterized in that it comprises: an optics housing (1) including a structural part provided with means for being fixed to a cross-member belonging to the structure of the vehicle, the structural part (6) being fixed in the extension of the cross-member, being sufficiently robust to support the optics housing when the vehicle is in use; a glazing (7) provided with means (9) to be fixed to a geometric module (8) which is designed to support visible elements (10) at the vehicle front; a link (11) between the optics housing (1) and the glazing (7), said link being sufficiently robust to support the optics housing when the latter is not yet mounted on the vehicle structure. |
