A knock controller of a marine engine, comprising a knock learning value updating part changing a knock learning value to a low octane value ignition timing map side when the state of knocking is detected and changing the knock learning value to a high octane value ignition timing map side when it is not detected and an ignition timing determination part retarding or advancing an ignition timing based on the knock learning value from the knock learning value updating part. The knock learning value updating part is so formed that the knock learning value is not changed to the high octane value ignition timing map side when the rotational speed of an engine is near the fully opened state of an accelerator.
