摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To encourage visual fixation by emphasizing the existence of a fixation target through automatically changing the brilliance or the like of the fixation target when a state of fixation of eyes to be examined is not stable. <P>SOLUTION: Whether the third improper fixation state is determined is judged in S13. A method for presenting the fixation target is changed to emphasize the existence of the fixation target to the eyes to be examined by proceeding to S14 when the improper fixation state occurs for the first time or twice. When an ophthalmic apparatus determines that the fixation state of the eyes to be examined is stable in S16 by performing three-point auto alignment in S15 after changing the method for presenting the fixation target, the ophthalmic apparatus proceeds to S17 to initialize the method for presenting the fixation target. Then, the ophthalmic apparatus proceeds to S10 after the initialization in S17. When the ophthalmic apparatus determines that fixation state is not stable in S16, the ophthalmic apparatus returns to S2 to detect the central position of a pupil. On the other hand, when the third improper fixation state is determined in S13, the ophthalmic apparatus proceeds to S18 to halt a measurement operation, and the ophthalmic apparatus finishes the operation by displaying a message that the measurement operation is halted because of the unstable fixation state on a monitor in S19. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
