<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an image forming apparatus which can carry out an output of high image quality by using toner having two colors which are black and light black in a monochrome mode output and does not reduce the productivity in the monochrome mode. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is constituted so that an image process part using dark black color material and an image process part using light black color material are installed in different image forming stations 21 and 22. In the monochrome mode output, control is carried out so that image formation for black in the image forming station 21 using the dark black color material and the image formation for light black in the image forming station 22 using the light black color material are carried out in the same process. Thus, the output of the high image quality can be carried out by using toner having two colors which are black and light black in the monochrome mode output, and the process is carried out simultaneously in two image forming stations 21 and 22, so that the image forming apparatus which does not reduce the productivity in the monochrome mode can be realized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
