<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure regulator capable of preventing leakage of fuel into an engine when sealability of an injector valve is reduced in a returnless fuel supply system. <P>SOLUTION: A valve element 30 is provided in a diaphragm 21 pressed and energized toward an inlet part 25. A rod 29 is provided at the center of the valve element 30. The rod 29 is inserted into a passage 24 communicating with the inlet part 25. A ball valve 27 pressed and energized in the direction of rod 29 is provided in the inlet part 25. When the valve element 30 is pressed against a side wall on an inlet part 25 side, the valve element 30 is closed and the rod 29 is extended into the inlet part 25 to open the ball valve 27. When pressure of fuel passing through a clearance between the rod 29 and the passage 24 exceeds valve opening pressure of the valve element 30, the valve element 30 is opened and fuel is supplied into a pressure regulating chamber 22. When pressure in the pressure regulating chamber 22 reaches upper limit pressure, the rod 29 is retracted by pressure applied on the diaphragm 21, and the ball valve 27 is closed to reduce pressure in the pressure regulating chamber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
