PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease a memory capacity necessary for data processing while a decrease in the quality of an image is suppressed in a printing apparatus and a data processing apparatus for printing. SOLUTION: The printing apparatus 20 records dots on a printing medium by using dot data being the data formed respectively on a plurality of outputting pixels and indicating either one of a plurality of dot conditions containing presence/absence of the dot. A CPU 31 equipped by the printing apparatus 20 acquires pixel data on every raster line on a plurality of the raster lines to be objects for recording in one main scanning. On every acquisition of the pixel data, the CPU 31 successively forms the dot data on the raster line and stores them in a dot data storing part. When dot data are stored on a plurality of the raster lines to be objects for recording by one main scanning, the CPU31 rearranges the dot data according to the order of recording of the outputting pixels and outputs them.
