METHOD, DEVICE AND PROGRAM FOR PATTERN LAYOUT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for pattern layout that allows efficiently aligning a liquid-crystal array pattern for a liquid-crystal display device. SOLUTION: Pieces of information about the wiring of a group of cells to be aligned are arranged to compare the name of cells in a group of sample cells with the name of cells in the group of samples to be aligned, so as to see if they match. Based on the sample coordinates of the sample cells and on the coordinates of the group of cells to be aligned, the group of cells to be aligned are aligned with the sample coordinates. The liquid-crystal array pattern can be laid out efficiently. The time to design the liquid-crystal array pattern can be reduced.
