PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply-structured fall prevention device, which can be mass produced at low cost, and can be installed under an automatic vending machine easily, and can surely prevent fall of the automatic vending machine. SOLUTION: The fall prevention apparatus prevents an automatic vending machine 1 from falling by coupling legs 2 on the front and the rear of the automatic vending machine 1 to a base plate 4. The base plate 4 has a projecting part 4A that projects to the front of the automatic vending machine 1, a notched opening part 6 at the rear end into which the rear leg 2 is inserted, and a fixing bracket 5 for fixing the front leg 2 at the front part. The notched opening part 6 has a opening width which allows the screw part 2A of the leg 2 to pass through, but does not allow the support plate part 2B, thereby positioning the support plate part 2B on the undersurface of the base plate 4 and preventing the leg 2 from pulling out upward. In the fall prevention apparatus, the rear leg 2 on the back of the automatic vending machine 1 is inserted into the notched opening part 6 at the rear end of the base plate 4 so as to be coupled to the base plate, and the front leg 2 is put on the upper surface of the front part of the base plate 4 so that the support plate part 2B at the lower end is fixed to the base plate 4 by the fixing bracket 5.
