PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of measuring temperature of a steel plate capable of measuring simply and accurately the temperature of the steel plate moving at high speed corresponding to actual operation in a load test or the like of an induction heating device. SOLUTION: A contact point of a thermocouple 3 is fitted onto the steel plate 1 inductively heated by the induction heating device 2, while being conveyed by a conveyance roll 4. A pedestal 6 made of a wooden board moving synchronously with movement of the steel plate 1 is placed on the conveyance roll 4 on the upstream side of the steel plate 1, and a compensating lead wire 3a of the thermocouple 3 is connected to a temperature recording device 5 placed on the pedestal 6.
