PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow to be mounted easily and smoothly, without making holes in an outer wall and an inner wall with high position accuracy and without requiring complicated operations, even when the trunk is fixed to the outer wall with the sheath tip part being inserted into the inside of a sheath insertion hole provided in the inner wall. SOLUTION: The sheath-type measuring instrument comprises the sheath 32 for measuring the physical quantity of an object to be measured, by bringing its tip part close to or into contact with the object to be measured and the trunk 34 for movably holding the base of the sheath 32, in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the sheath 32.
