PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a method capable of detecting the damage, rupture or the like of a container or the hole, ruptures or leakage of the shrink film mounted on the container at a high speed, using a simple and inexpensive device, and to provide an inspection device that uses it. SOLUTION: The following device or the method using it is used to solve a subject. The shrink film is taken as an example to give an explanation as follows. That is, a place, where the shrink film mounted on the container is inspected, is installed on the way of a feed line, high frequency fluorescent illumination light is thrown on the joined part of the shrink film at the place to photograph the reflected light from the joined part by a camera and the light and shade of the reflected light is analyzed to judge whether the reflected light from the part irradiated with the light is the reflected light from the shrink film or the reflected light from the surface of the container to inspect the mounting failure of the shrink film.
