PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reciprocating compressor capable of reducing amount of use of expensive magnet, improving output of a driving motor, and simplifying constituent parts. SOLUTION: This reciprocating compressor is composed of an outer side stator 420 having a winding coil 410 and connected between a front frame 200 and an intermediate frame 300, a magnet mounting type inner side stator 430 having pole parts protruding in both end parts and inserted into the outer side stator so as to move linearly and freely, the magnet 440 mounted on an outer peripheral face of the magnet mounting type inner side stator, a piston 600 inserted into a cylinder 500 connected with the front frame, a resonance spring unit 700 for resonating the piston and the magnet mounting type inner side stator connected mutually by a tightening means, and a valve assembly 800 for opening and closing a gas flow passage to suck gas into the cylinder and compress gas by linear reciprocating movement of the piston.
