PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel pump capable of replacing an oil seal without disassembling the fuel pump. SOLUTION: The fuel pump is provided with a projection part 55 for detaching the oil seal 50 at an external exposed part of the oil seal 50. The projection part 55 is combined to a reinforcement ring 52 and is provided with an engagement hole 55a. When old oil seal is drawn out, a tip part of a tool 56 is inserted in the engagement hole 55a and the tool 56 is pulled to an outside under that condition to draw the oil seal 50 out of a housing cover 46. The oil seal 50 can be removed from a supply pump in this manner without disassembling the supply pump, and replacement work of the oil seal 50 can be performed easily. Since the supply pump is not disassembled, a danger that a foreign matter invades in the supply pump during disassembly is eliminated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
