PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining method which connects a steel frame family pillar to a pedestal base plate without using welding, and which improves stress transfer performance. SOLUTION: The pedestal base plate, which is provided with a connecting bolt beforehand, is mounted on the top face of the upper plate of a base isolator so that the connecting bolt is drawn through a bolt hole of the upper plate. Then the steel-framed pillar is suspended in a nearly vertical position, and the lower end surface of the steel-framed pillar is brought into intimate contact with a predetermined plain surface position of the pedestal base plate. Then the lower end surface is temporarily fixed by a temporary fixing instrument, and connecting members such as anchor bolts or studs are mounted upward from the pedestal base plate. After that, a steel beam and a reinforcing bar of the basic beam part are assembled, a concrete mold is assembled, and the pouring of the concrete is performed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
