Spanner comprises a marking structure formed as a recessed region (12) on the surface of the handle (11). Protrusions (121) are arranged in the recesses region so that a recess is formed between neighboring protrusions. A projecting marking is formed in the recessed region so that the marking is clear whilst the neighboring protrusions surround it. Preferred Features: The surface of the upper end of the each marking is larger then the surface of the upper end of each protrusion. A screw head (101, 102) is formed on both ends of the handle. The handle is flat and has two surfaces of large width with one of the surfaces having a marking structure.
