<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibrating device including a means that protects the device from a mechanical shock. <P>SOLUTION: The vibrating device (1) is attached to portable articles such as writ watch so as to function as, particularly, a silent alarm. The device includes locomotor mass (3a, 3b, 6, 15) which are connected to a fixed structure (5) through a spring element (4) and are partially formed of magnetic structure, and a coil (2) connected to the fixed structure without mechanically contacting the locomotor mass. A part of this mechanism includes a long and slender opening (14) in a vibrating direction, which is to be a guiding means of a protruded element (16) of the locomotor mass. The positioning of the long and slender shedding is performed so as to allow the locomotor mass to freely vibrate at least by a predetermined maximum amplitude value in a normal mode of the locomotor mass. However, the opening protects the vibrating device from the mechanical shock by limiting a locomotor amplitude of the locomotor mass in all directions with a predetermined manner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
