<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus, displaying method, display program for the image display apparatus and recording medium having the program recorded therein with which a desired image can be easily retrieved out of a plurality of images. <P>SOLUTION: A year circle 21 as the time circle which indicates the predetermined length of time is displayed on the screen of a display unit. When the index 23 of a year indicator 23 as the selected date of the year circle 21 is clicked by a mouse, a month circle 31 is displayed with its center coinciding the index 23.
