PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic bearing device capable of suppressing the rotating loss and the temperature rise of a rotary body. SOLUTION: This magnetic bearing device radially supports the rotary body 1 by control type radial magnetic bearings 3 and 4 in the state of non-contact with each other. Cores 11 and 12 formed by stacking a plurality of annular silicone steel sheets 15 on each other are fixed to the outer peripheral part of the rotary body 1 facing magnets 9 and 10 forming the radial magnetic bearings 3 and 4. The silicone steel sheets 15 forming the cores 11 and 12 are formed by coating them with an insulation film, and polishing is not applied to the outer peripheral surfaces of the cores 11 and 12.
