PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulley used for a pressed pulley bearing unit eliminating the collapse of its roundness by surface treatment and manufacturable at low cost. SOLUTION: In this method of manufacturing the pulley used for a pulley bearing unit, a flat steel sheet is formed in a molding material, and a horizontal belt receiving part is formed on its outer periphery by press molding, and an axially recessed cylindrical bearing fitting part is formed at the center thereof.
