PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-suction type centrifugal pump device preventing water in which air is mixed from being supplied to water pipe 24. SOLUTION: In the self-suction type centrifugal pump having a part of suction pipe way formed with including a pump casing 12 in an upstream side of a pump impeller 10 and a suction pipe 14 communicating to a suction port 12a positioned at a higher position than the pump impeller 10 and having a part of delivery pipe way formed with including a pump casing 12 in a downstream side of a pump impeller 10 and a delivery pipe 20 communicating to a delivery port 12b positioned at a higher position than the pump impeller 10, and having a delivery valve 22 capable of freely opening and closing provided in the discharge pipe way, a part of exhaust pipe 30 is communicated to an upper side wall at the highest position of the delivery pipe way, and a control valve 32 capable of freely opening and closing is provided in the exhaust pipe 30.
