DEODORIZING FIBER, DEODORIZING NONWOVEN FABRIC AND FORMED PRODUCT USING THE DEODORIZING NONWOVEN FABRIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fiber and nonwoven fabric each having deodorizing effect through effectively removing aldehyde- and acid-based volatiles, and to provide a formed product obtained using the fiber or nonwoven fabric. SOLUTION: The deodorizing fiber is characterized by being obtained from a thermoplastic resin composition where 100 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin is compounded with 0.01-20 pts.wt. of a modified laminar clay mineral with an amino-containing organic compound selected from a carboxylic acid, sulfonic acid and phenol and their salts each having amino group intercalated interlaminarly of an anion-exchange laminar clay mineral. The deodorizing nonwoven fabric comprises the above fiber. The deodorizing formed product obtained from the above fiber or nonwoven fabric is also provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
