PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely feed papers stacked on a loading tray of a paper feeding device with a hollow feeding roller. SOLUTION: The feeding roller 31 is structured of a shaft 31a and an elastic body 31b, and inside of the elastic body 31b is formed hollow. A hollow part 31c is filled with powder 31d to increase weight of the feeding roller 31 to increase the pressure of the elastic body 31b to be applied to the papers and to increase area of a part thereof to be brought in contact, while maintaining characteristic of the elastic body 31b easy to be deformed. Since the powder 31d is solid, leakage thereof outside of the hollow part 31d is prevented, and pressure and area of the elastic body can be maintained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
