PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding wheel capable of heightening grinding liquid supply efficiency and chip discharging effects at the time of high-speed rotation, and maintaining good accuracy of a processing surface, parallelism and flatness. SOLUTION: In this grinding wheel, abrasives are regularly arranged on an outer peripheral side of a disc-like stand 2, and an abrasive layer 3 obtained by affixing a single layer of the abrasives with a brazing material is formed. On the outer peripheral side of the stand 2, a plurality of areas without the abrasives are formed in a perimeter direction of the stand, and a groove 4 not penetrating in a thickness direction of the stand 2 is formed in this area from the outer periphery of the stand 2 toward the center. The groove 4 has a shaped smoothly curved in the perimeter direction of the stand 2. In this curve, two curves having curvature radii R, R' are smoothly connected with each other.
